Ukrainian ambassador to Korea Dmitro Ponomarenko announced the donation of Lee Young-ae through SNS on the 1st, saying, “I was very moved by the letter and financial help from Lee Young-ae, a Korean actress who supports Ukraine. The donation will be used for victims of Russian attacks.” He revealed the donations and letters he received from Lee Young-ae.
In this letter, Lee Young-ae said, “Dear Ukrainian citizens. I am Lee Young-ae, an actress living in Korea. As a family member of a war veteran, I feel the horror of war more deeply than anyone else. I sincerely hope that the war will stop and peace can be established in Ukraine as soon as possible, and I pray for the well-being and safety of all Ukrainians.” said.
