Belarmino Ramiro Cifuentes Guayara, 64 years old. It is presumed that the citizen fell into the river on Saturday morning and was recovered that same day but in the afternoon.
As Belarmino Ramiro Cifuentes Guayara, 64, the lifeless body found last Saturday in the De la Vieja River, between La Tebaida and Caicedonia, was identified.
He is an Armenian who lived in the capital of Quindío and worked as a farmer and guadañero on farms in the department of Quindío.
The death of this citizen, according to preliminary versions, would have occurred because that April 16 he went to practice one of his passions, fishing, and chose the De la Vieja River to do it.
The older adult lived in the vicinity of the 50th street bridge in Armenia, near the Los Naranjos neighborhood in Armenia, and decided to go, in his free time, to a riverbank to do his favorite activity.
But, due to facts that are the subject of investigation by the authoritiesCifuentes Guayara fell into the tributary which caused him to lose his life.
Official versions indicate that fishermen observed the lifeless body floating along the river and that is why they notified the rescuers of La Tebaida.
For several hours in that town, officials from the Red Cross, the Volunteer Fire Department and the Civil Defense were looking for the body, but the only thing they found in the Pizamal sector, in that municipality, was a shirt full of dirt and they thought that the complainant had been confused and for this reason they stopped the search, in addition there were no official reports of missing persons.
It was only until the lifeless body came to the surface in the area known as La Honda, between the town of Quindiana and Caicedonia, when the event was reported by drainers and fishermen.
The Technical Investigation Corps, CTI, arrived at the point, jurisdiction of Valle del Cauca, to carry out the survey and transfer it to the Roldanillo morgue.
After different ten-print and fingerprint procedures, in addition to the autopsy, carried out by officials attached to the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, the identity of this man from Quindío was established.
But now, the authorities are calling in Armenia to notify the relatives of Belarmino Ramiro Cifuentes Guayara that his lifeless body is in the Zarzal morgue and the Attorney General’s Office, FGN, is waiting for his relatives to carry out their different legal proceedings for the repatriation of the body and thus say goodbye through funeral honors.
