Germán Salcedo Montealegre, who was a radiologist at the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences in Ibagué, died in a traffic accident that occurred on the Saldaña – Purificación road.
The accident happened yesterday in the early hours of the morning on the Saldaña – Purificación road, when Salcedo Montealegre aboard his motorcycle, apparently did not make a stop and crashed into a fixed object. It is being investigated whether the man was driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Tolima Police, the inspection of the body was carried out by the Police Inspector, without specifying the exact location of which sector.
The body of the radiologist was transferred yesterday morning to Ibagué to the Institute of Legal Medicine to carry out an autopsy.
Who was?
Germán Salcedo Montealegre his family lived in the Santa Isabel de Purificación neighborhood, he was married and had two children. He was also a relative of the former candidate for mayor of the municipality, Jhon Fernando Salcedo Montealegre.
It was precisely the Mayor’s Office of Purificación, which through its social networks expressed its condolences: “We deeply regret the departure of this dear son from Purificación, a neighbor of the Santa Isabel neighborhood.”
So did the mayor of the municipality, Cristian Barragán Correcha wrote: “With sadness we received the news about the tragic death of Germán Salcedo, a dear man from Purificense who got ahead of us on the road.”
And he added: “We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends; especially her children Mariana and Daniel. Peace in her grave and resignation in the hearts of her loved ones.
