Back to traditions. If the final of the 2023 Champions League was held in Turkey, at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, on June 10, that of the 2023-2024 edition will take place in a legendary venue: Wembley (England). An enclosure steeped in history, which can accommodate 90,000 people.
Third Champions League final at Wembley
Two Champions League finals have already been played at Wembley Stadium. In 2011 with the victory of FC Barcelona against Manchester United (3-1) and in 2013 with the success of Bayern Munich against Dortmund (2-1).
Wembley Stadium had been mentioned to host the final of the 2021-2022 edition, initially scheduled for Saint Petersburg, Russia, on May 28, and relocated due to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. But it was ultimately the Stade de France (Saint-Denis) which was the scene, at short notice, of the epilogue of this Champions League season.
