Will Robert Lenz’s coaching career be as successful as his as a player? On Saturday, the 37-year-old made a good start: after being introduced as the new coach of the Landesliga West club Sattledt the previous week, he celebrated a 3-1 win against Pettenbach on his debut.
“We quickly agreed that it could work,” says newcomer Lenz, who has already completed his training as a regional association coach in the past. His goal in Sattledt is to say goodbye to the bottom of the table as quickly as possible. “The team has potential. In the medium term, I want to be at the top of the table with this squad and play for promotion,” says Lenz, who is currently also in the lower house near St. Oswald near Freistadt, leader of the 1st class Northeast Soccer shoes laces.

With 24 goals so far this season, the former attacker from FC Wels, Grieskirchen or WSC/Hertha also played a key role in the Mühlviertler team’s run of success. “I won’t let this team down. Only two games with Sattledt overlap, but I will play in Oswald,” says Lenz about his intense spring season. On Friday he scored twice in the 3-1 win in Bad Kreuzen. Will he say goodbye with a title? It is quite possible that he will give his player pass to Sattledt in the summer.
