Leonard shines with 31 points; Clippers overwhelm Kings and score 5th win

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kawhi Leonard scored 31 points in three quarters, going up to 106 in his last three games, and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Sacramento Kings 119-98 on Tuesday, earning their fifth win , the best streak they have had in the campaign.

James Harden added 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Clippers, who have won 10 of their last 13 games.

Keegan Murray led Sacramento with 17 points and Domantas Sabonis added 15, while also grabbing 10 rebounds. De’Aaron Fox added 14 points, but the Kings had their two-game winning streak snapped.

Sacramento had won five of seven games, including a victory over Brooklyn, on Monday night. The Clippers overwhelmed from the second period onwards.

They went into halftime with a 70-48 lead, hitting 59% of their field goals, with eight three-pointers and all 10 of their free throws made. Up by nine, they outscored the Kings 31-11, to take a 29-point lead just before intermission.
