Less profit for Russia: G7 countries want to push through price caps on oil – economic policy

Washington/Berlin – The seven leading industrialized countries (G7) want to ensure that Russia earns less from its oil – and thus dry up a source of funding for the war once morest Ukraine. The goal is an international price cap on imports of Russian oil. In a joint statement on Friday, G7 finance ministers urged all oil-importing countries to join the move.
