Mix designer pieces and ready-to-wear pieces with unfailing consistency. This time around, the Queen of Spain has tried her hand at vintage fashion and it looks great on her.
From 1977 to 2022
On Monday January 17, the Sovereign and Felipe vi received the diplomatic corps for this new year at the Royal Palace in Madrid. It was in a Valentino floral dress of the most beautiful effect that the Spaniard appeared for the reception. The outfit was not from the latest collection of the Italian house, but directly from the wardrobe of Queen Sofia, her mother-in-law. The latter had worn the same dress more than 40 years ago. It was during an official trip to Germany with Juan Carlos in 1977. Leonor, the 16-year-old Crown Princess, may wear it herself in a few years to perpetuate the tribute.
