Trump Jr., the eldest son of the former US president, was at his home in Florida when he discovered the envelope containing the death threats and the unknown white powder last night.
“The results of the investigation did not conclusively indicate what this powder was, although officers expressed the opinion that they do not believe it was fatal,” a spokesman for Trump Jr. said.
However, for the second time, he is the target of a letter containing white powder. In 2018, his then-wife, Vanessa Trump, was hospitalized as a precaution when, on February 12, she opened a letter containing a powder of unknown origin, which police authorities later ruled was not harmful.
The man convicted in the 2018 incident also sent a similar white powder letter to the 2024 Republican presidential nominee’s other grown son, Eric Trump.
