Lewis Hamilton says Mercedes F1’s extremely challenging 2022 F1 season has shown the extent of its relentless efforts to improve the fortunes of its smaller team.

But beyond Mercedes F1’s own battle to improve its fortunes, the 2022 F1 season has made Lewis Hamilton more aware of what F1’s smaller teams have endured year after year.
Lewis Hamilton said: “It really allowed me to understand how great all the other teams are who are trying to do the same thing, who have the same intentions, who are trying to be better, who are fighting for something. told Channel 4.

Lewis Hamilton admits he has always been very interested in the results of McLaren, the team where all seven Formula 1 world champions started.
“I like watching McLaren, I always check where they are because that’s where I start,” said Lewis Hamilton.
“Even if they are my rivals, I always wish them success.”
