Lewis Hamilton is forced to make a pit decision and explodes with dissatisfaction “Don’t let me make a decision” / Mercedes F1 Miami GP Final[F1-Gate .com]

Lewis Hamilton is wondering if the Mercedes F1 team left it to him to decide whether to pit in during the safety car at the end of the F1 Miami GP.

Lewis Hamilton finished 6th in the F1 Miami GP after teammate George Russell. Russell kept his position by running the first stint for a long time and using the safety car to make a pit stop to replace with new medium tires.

George Russell was just behind the old hard tire Lewis Hamilton at the restart and took advantage of the tires to pass seven world champions. Russell returned to the standings once because his first overtake was considered off course, but easily completed his second overtake.

Lewis Hamilton was dissatisfied with losing at the timing of his second safety car in three races.

“The strategy wasn’t kind to me,” Lewis Hamilton lamented race engineer Peter Bonnington over the air.

Lewis Hamilton and Peter Bonnington have repeatedly argued whether they should pit in to replace George Russell with new tires, but Hamilton is worried about losing track position and Mercedes F1. The team insisted that the final call should be made.

“You decide. Don’t let me make a decision, “Lewis Hamilton finally said.

In response, Peter Bonnington replied, “OK, stay out.”

After the race, when asked if he should have exchanged opinions and pitted over the air, Lewis Hamilton commented, “Honestly, I don’t know.”

“In that scenario, I don’t know who is where.”

“When the team said,’It’s your choice,’ I didn’t have the information to make a decision. I think it’s their job to make a decision for me. Shells are all. I have the details, but I don’t. ”

“I rely on everyone for that, but today they entrusted it to me. I couldn’t understand it.”

“It was a bit disappointing during the safety car, but at least we got points. We finished and it was reliable. We haven’t taken a step yet and are excited to take a step forward.”

As a result of the F1 Miami GP, Lewis Hamilton surpassed Lando Norris (McLaren) to finish sixth in the championship, but is 23 points behind fourth-placed George Russell.
