L’Expression: Culture – An exceptional show by the Little Odetta troupe

The Little Odetta troupe presented during the third evening of the 17th edition of the festival, in the evening from Friday to Saturday, an exceptional show of rock music to the applause of the public.

The penultimate evening of the 17th edition of the Dimajazz festival was marked by the imposing presence on stage of the French musical troupe Little Odetta, which has its roots in the great names of this art of the 1960s and 1970s, performing a panoply of songs catchy and full of dynamism with a strong voice encouraging the majority of those present to stand up to better appreciate it.
For more than an hour, the Little Odetta troupe managed to captivate the public and take them on a journey into the world of rock and roll, blues and soul by performing the songs “Make Up Your Mind”, “Don’t Stop “, “Never Keep Us Down”, and “Rhythm”, in addition to other sentimental songs like “You Will Find Someone” and “Waiting For The Sun”. The singer of the Odetta troupe welcomed, during a lively press conference at the end of the evening, the public who had come in droves to attend her show for the love of jazz music and expressed her joy at being in Algeria. and to participate for the first time in the Dimajazz festival in Constantine. She also praised the good organization of the event and the fact of reserving this edition for women. For its part, the troupe of Italian artist Ilaria Pilar Patassini presented another genre of jazz music, sometimes mixing solo and blues songs with sentimental songs, favoring body language that harmonizes wonderfully with her operatic voice. .
The singer of the Italian troupe enchanted the audience with romantic songs like “Occhi come un coltello”, “Labbra”, in addition to the song “Avec le temps” by the French artist Léo ferré and the song “Ksantina hiya gharami » and managed to pass between the different levels of the voice without difficulty to the point where the public forgot the existence of the musical instruments.
During a press conference, the artist Patassini expressed his joy in presenting his first show in Constantine and was proud of the good relationship linking Algeria to Italy. She also expressed her admiration for the warm welcome given to her and for Constantine’s musical styles, indicating that the decline in the Covid pandemic has enabled her to reunite with jazz enthusiasts.
