Lexus UX: full of improvements

Launched in 2019, theUX is updated. The changes concern the 250h hybrid version, whose engine does not move, with 184 hp. On the other hand, there is an improved rigidity on the technical aspect, with additional welding points or a stiffer steel rear door reinforcement.

The F Sport Executive version now comes standard with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and “performance” suspension arms at the front and rear. The brand thus promises a more dynamic behavior. The AVS control has been improved so that “there is no sudden change in the behavior of the vehicle”. This new setting also “reduces high and mid-frequency vibrations”.

The F Sport offer is completed with a new F Sport Design finish, placed below the Executive. It allows you to have the sporty look at a lower price. There are, for example, 18-inch rims, the mesh grille with L-pattern, the black roof spoiler…

On board, the important change concerns the multimedia offer. Depending on the version, the screens are 8 or 12 inches, whereas before it was up to 10.3 inches. The screens have been moved closer to the driver, as they become tactile. The impractical central touchpad to control them is thus abandoned. Storage takes its place.

The multimedia system is promised faster. Navigation via the cloud, as standard, gives access to real-time traffic information. The 12-inch screen system has built-in navigation, available even when cloud connection is not possible. Another important new feature: the arrival of a “Hey Lexus” voice command.

On board there is new cream leather. For the exterior, there is a new Iridium Gray tint. The driving assistance offer is improved, with, for example, emergency braking which works in intersections or active cruise control which includes a speed reduction function in bends.
