According to information from RMC Sportthe LFP will obtain authorization to extend the duration of the TV rights contract by one year.

The Professional Football League (LFP) seems to be heading for a first victory five days before the official launch of its call for tenders for TV rights. She is regarding to obtain permission to extend the duration of the TV rights contract from four to five years. This extension was intended to provide greater security to the future holder of the rights, and following having received the approval of the Competition Authority and a positive opinion from the Council of State, all that remains is to obtain the signature of the decree by the Ministry of Sports and publication in the Official Journal, scheduled no later than September 12, the day of the launch of the call for tenders. The LFP should therefore be able to offer a five-year contract for TV rights covering the period 2024-2029.
