LH Mikl-Leitner/LH Deputy Farmers bring care thousands in Lower Austria on the way

47 million euros for care check for compatriots in need of care

St. Polten (OTS/NLK) 48 hours after the black-blue government was sworn in in Lower Austria, Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Deputy Governor Udo Landbauer set the first concrete measures in motion. According to the principle “at home before inpatient”, care in your own four walls should be strongly supported with a new care check. For this purpose, the state of Lower Austria provides up to 47 million euros per year.

Under the proof that care is necessary and can be implemented well in the home environment, those in need of care should receive 1,000 euros per year in order to be able to finance additional services over and above the care allowance. Persons from the care allowance level three are favored. The state of Lower Austria spends up to 47 million euros a year on this measure. A social graduation of the care check is to be worked out. Around 47,000 compatriots should benefit from this measure of the Lower Austrian care check. That is significantly more than the Burgenland model, which provides for the employment of caring relatives and, according to the critical Burgenland State Audit Office, is used by just 188 people.

Provincial Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner: “This government came into office to take quick measures that will help our compatriots and further advance Lower Austria. In addition to the care allowance, we want to support care at home with the introduction of the care thousander. A measure with which we can reach 47,000 people in Lower Austria and which was not feasible with the SPÖ. The care check is a measure that helps those who need our help particularly urgently.”

LH deputy Udo Landbauer: “We stand for a care network in Lower Austria that catches everyone in need of care and does not allow any injustice. Lower Austria should become the best care country. With the care check, we support exactly those compatriots who need help. This is also a strong and, above all, social contribution by the country in the fight against inflation. The care in your own four walls, in the familiar and loved environment, must be affordable.”

ÖVPNÖ club chairman and government coordinator Jochen Danninger: “Two days after the government was sworn in, we are already in the middle of political implementation. With hard and honest work, we want to advance Lower Austria and make it even more social. With these measures, thousands of people in need of care in Lower Austria receive significant financial support. This significantly enhances care within your own four walls.”

Reinhard Teufel, club chairman and government coordinator of the Freedom Party: “We don’t let time pass, we work seriously for the population. We don’t talk, we act for the benefit of our countrymen. The care check is an important step so that our compatriots can afford care at home. That is socially just and accurate.”
