St. Pölten (OTS) – “In times of greatest challenges, uncertainty and dissatisfaction, Markus Söder and the CSU fought a great election campaign and put the concerns of the normal-thinking middle class at the center of their politics. At a time when the world seems to be becoming more and more unstable, the CSU remains the dominant force in Bavaria. There needs to be strong Christian-social people’s parties in Europe that put the concerns of the middle of society at the center of their politics, like the CSU does. The CSU’s electoral success is therefore also a positive signal for Lower Austria to further expand trade relations and economic cooperation between our two countries. “I congratulate the CSU and Prime Minister Markus Söder,” said State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner on today’s results of the state elections in Bavaria.

“Congratulations also to the CDU in Hesse and to Prime Minister Boris Rhein for the clear result. They were significantly strengthened as a center force. The election result is also a clear signal that people in Germany are increasingly rejecting the traffic light coalition’s political experiment. “Citizens want answers to the questions of everyday life – and not a preoccupation with peripheral issues, constraints and prohibitions,” emphasizes State Governor Mikl-Leitner on the election results in Hesse.
