Liabilities of 1.34 billion euros: Fisker Austria is insolvent

The liabilities (liabilities) were stated at 1.34 billion euros. According to KSV, the assets amount to 959 million euros (book values) or estimated liquidation values ​​to 40.5 million euros (AKV) or 66.3 million euros (Creditreform). This is the largest insolvency proceedings in Styria to date.

The high liabilities of Fisker GmbH, which was founded in 2021, are largely attributable to liabilities to Fisker group companies (“Intercompany”), the credit protectors said upon request. Around 615 creditors are affected by the bankruptcy. The company currently employs 47 employees. Fisker develops and sells electric vehicles, which it had produced by Magna-Steyer vehicle technology.

Magna production stopped

Fisker’s Austrian subsidiary focuses primarily on managing contract manufacturing in Graz. However, Magna stopped production of the vehicles. Fisker originally planned to have Magna produce 40,000 cars per year in Graz, but only 10,000 have been built so far.

According to the debtor, the liquidity of the company and the Fisker Group was centrally financed by Fisker US. Fisker US has recently found itself in a liquidity crisis. Fisker Austria is now to be restructured and continued. The company offers creditors a quota of 30 percent, payable within two years from the adoption of the restructuring plan.
