Linafoot: sanctions against V.Club and Aigle du Congo finally declared

Linafoot is no longer holding back when it comes to sanctioning indiscipline in play-off matches this season. After the exemplary sanctions suffered by FC Saint Éloi Lupopo, it is now the macabre day for AS V.Club de Kinshasa and FC Aigle du Congo following the drama during their meeting at the Martyrs stadium.

In a decision dated March 6, a copy of which reached ActuRDC, Linafoot indicates that the incidents were the consequence of the insults suffered by the president of FC Aigle du Congo, Vidiye Tshimanga. According to the supreme football authority in the DRC, supporters of FC Aigle du Congo responded to the insults addressed to their president by using insults which led to projectiles being thrown between the two teams.

In its decision, Linafoot indicates that “the two teams are suspended until the total payment of the amount of the sentence estimated at $7,500”.

With regard to AS V.Club, Linafoot is keeping a close eye on the behavior of its supporters for the rest of the play-offs, while requiring closed doors for its next match. “As V.Club supporters (stewards) are repeat offenders, the team will play its next match behind closed doors. And if the bad behavior persists, all remaining matches of the V.Club team will be relocated to another city and at the expense of the V.Club team.
