LINE will terminate the IP phone service “LINE Out” at 17:00 on May 31st. Sales of “Call Credit” and “30-Day Plan” will stop at 17:00 on March 31.
LINE Out is a voice call service that allows you to make calls from LINE at low cost. You can make calls to both domestic and overseas mobile phones and landlines, and you can also talk to people who do not use LINE. A prepaid “call credit” used for calls and a “30-day plan” that allows you to make calls for a set time for 30 days have been prepared.
The reason for the service suspension is that LINE Plus, which had been developing business, will abolish the telecommunications business in Japan. LINE is calling for the use of voice calls and video calls (free between LINE friends) of the “LINE app” as an alternative means of calling. Beginning June 1st, refund requests will be accepted for those with Call Credit balances.
