Lionel Messi repeats as best player of the day in the MLS
Lionel Messi took home the award for best MLS player on matchday 12 this Monday, an award he also received last week.

The Inter Miami star has received three of the last four awards for best player of the day in MLS, those corresponding to dates 9, 11 and 12.
Messi scored a goal and gave five assists on Saturday in his team’s 6-2 comeback win over the New York Red Bulls.
Those five Messi assists in a single game set a new MLS record.
The Argentine was very well accompanied by the Uruguayan Luis Suárez, who scored a hat trick, his first with the Florida team, and the Paraguayan Matías Rojas, who completed the exhibition with a double.
Inter Miami, which started losing, scored all its goals in the second half.
Messi tops the list of assists in MLS with 12 assists on goals and he is also at the top of the scoring rankings with 10 goals along with his teammate Luis Suárez.
With four wins in a row, Inter Miami leads the Eastern Conference with 24 points. Cincinnati is second in that conference with 21 points, but one game less than Florida as a whole.
