Liverpool and Real Clackett third final

When Liverpool meet Real Madrid, Spain, tomorrow, Saturday, in the final match of the Champions League in the French capital, Paris, this will be the first time in the history of the tournament, that the same two teams meet in the final three times.
The two teams met in the final of the championship in 1981, and Liverpool won 1-0 against Real, then they met again in the final of the championship in 2018, and Real Madrid crowned the title by defeating Liverpool 3/1.
Throughout the history of the tournament, the second confrontation between the same two teams was achieved in the final in eight other cases, other than the case of Real and Liverpool, where Real Madrid met with the French Stade Reims in the final (1956 and 1957), then Italian Milan with Ajax of the Netherlands (1969 and 1995), and Ajax. But the confrontations between the two teams in the Champions League are not limited to these three final matches, but extend to a number of other confrontations in other stages of the tournament.
The total of the confrontations between the two teams throughout the history of the tournament reached eight matches before tomorrow’s final, and Real won four of them, while Liverpool won three matches and the two teams tied in one match.
During these previous eight matches, Real players scored ten goals against eight goals for Liverpool.
In 1980/1981, Liverpool beat Real Madrid 1-0 in a final, while Liverpool beat Real Madrid 1-0 in Madrid and then 4/0 in Liverpool in 2008/2009 in the round of 16.
In the 2014/2015 group stage, Real beat Liverpool in their own home 3-0 and then 1-0 in Madrid, while the 2017/2018 final saw Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3/1.
In the quarter-finals of the 2020/21 season, Real won 3/1 at home, and the two teams tied 0-0 in the second leg of Liverpool.
