Liverpool drew 0-0 with Chelsea at Anfield

LIVERPOOL (England) – Liverpool and Chelsea continued their poor run of form, holding a goalless draw at Anfield in the English Premier League on Saturday.

It seemed that Chelsea took the lead in the third minute when Kai Havertz hit the net from close range, but the video assistant referee intervened to cancel the German player’s goal for offside.

Liverpool’s lack of confidence was evident as they sought to avoid a third successive league defeat, only providing a chance from newcomer Cody Jacobo in the first half.

Chelsea included newcomer Mykhailo Modric following the break, and the Ukrainian player performed well, but the visiting team settled for one point to remain in tenth place, two places behind Liverpool.
