Both of them spend regarding eight lakh rupees a year on accommodation and other expenses. The couple also got the opportunity to visit many countries following their stay on the ship. They have already visited countries like Fiji, Japan and Greece. They traveled on 36 ships last year. The couple quit their jobs and sold all their possessions to live aboard.
Cooking and laundry are done by the ship’s crew. Food is also prepared by the chefs, Monica said in an interview to Sun. Accommodation on board is relatively expensive. Monica also said that sometimes it feels difficult because she lives on a ship away from people. She stated that sometimes she feels like contacting family members. But they say that some crisis in the family hastened the decision to settle on the ship.
