The tractors that participated in the big rally in Athens arrived at the Platykampos block around 3 pm on Thursday, and then a meeting began between the farmers to determine their next moves.
According to information, at this meeting the implementation of mobilizations with tractors in the surrounding cities will be on the table, and while a new meeting of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with Thessalian farmers is imminent towards the end of the month on the problems caused by the bad weather “Daniel”, in view of and of the final proposals of the Dutch experts.
Apart from Platykambos, meetings will also be held in the blocks of other areas. Later in the day the farmers will gather in Serres, while tomorrow the farmers of Pella will gather. In the next few days (probably on Monday, February 26) there will be a new nationwide meeting, which will determine the overall stance that the farmers will take. “If we leave, we will do it in an orderly manner, just as we started. The fight will not stop here” say members of the Commission.
From then on, the Thessaloniki-Moudanion highway at the Portaria interchange will be closed on Friday from 19:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00
In the Derveni block there will be a symbolic blockade every day until Sunday at 13:00 – 13:30.
