Logimar 241 and NGV increase their prices by 20% –

“The management of high-speed vessels (NGV) informs its kind customers of the increase in ticket prices on the Dolphins Express,” said the head of NGV.

This announcement, displayed at the entrance by this maritime navigation structure, has been in effect since April 15. In Port-Gentil, it was made during a press statement held by managers of NGV and Logimar 241.

The latter expressed their bitterness regarding the government’s laxity in showing no interest in resolving their concerns. In question ; non-compliance with Order No. 001274/MEEDD/MBCPFP/MPERH. This indicates that “companies operating in the industrial sector in the Gabonese Republic whose fuel is diesel, must use industrial diesel for their activities. Companies operating in sectors such as; the production and distribution of water and electricity, agri-food, forestry, internal rail, river and maritime transport, cement works”. However, these companies have been paying the heavy price for years for the non-application of this measure.

In their press statement, the bosses of Logimar 241 and NGV also denounced the government’s lack of will to provide concrete solutions to their problem which dates from the time of the Corona virus health crisis.

For the manager of Logimar 241, Franck Moussavou, “no concrete solution has been brought to us, and we wish the application of this decree 1274 in its article 24”.

“We have three options; the application of the decree which exempts us from fuel prices, as a second option the increase in our prices which go from 35,000 FCFA to 42,000 FCFA and finally; the cessation of our payments to our various suppliers leading to the bankruptcy of our companies”he clarified.

To force the government to bend, they decided to increase the price of the crossing from 35,000 FCFA to 42,000 FCFA for adults. Parents with children aged 3 to 11 will pay 35,000 FCFA, and 5,000 FCFA for those aged 0 to 2 years.
