Take-up of space was around 210,000 square meters in the first half of the year. That was more than in the entire past year (190,000). Both classic rentals (88 percent) and new owner-occupied properties that were completed and put into operation in the respective period are taken into account.
“The logistics market is at an all-time high,” says Franz Kastner, Head of Logistics at CBRE Austria. The vacancy rate is at a very low level and will not change in the coming months. “Almost all projects that will be completed in 2023 are already pre-let,” says Kastner. The stabilization on the investment market for logistics real estate occurs faster than in other asset classes, he says.
