A hundred years ago, the famous Henry Ford said that a car can be any color, provided it is black. Legend has it that at that time black was the cheapest color in terms of mass production, but today famous companies around the world create special versions of their cars around it, which they later offer for an additional fee.
Now such a modification has been prepared for the Italian supercar Maserati MC20, the premiere of which was attended by Andrea Bertolini and Maserati brand ambassador David Beckham.
Notte is Italian for “night.” The decor of the new product is designed accordingly: specialists from the Maserati Fuoriserie division, who build custom cars, painted the body of the supercar in matte black, and the logos, nameplates and 20-inch wheels in a golden hue.
The interior features the same color scheme, with seats upholstered in dark gray Alcantara with contrasting golden yellow stitching. Branded tridents are embroidered on the headrests, and the steering wheel rim is complemented by a carbon fiber insert. By the way, between the seats in each of the fifty cars with the Notte prefix, special signs will be installed with the inscription “Una di 50” (“one of 50”), emphasizing that they belong to a special series.
In terms of technology, there are no modifications: the V6 3.0 biturbo engine of the Nettuno series produces the same 630 hp. at 7500 rpm and 730 Nm in the range of 3000−5500 rpm, as on the standard model. The transmission includes an eight-speed Tremec robot with two clutches and rear-wheel drive with a limited-slip differential.
The claimed acceleration time to 100 km/h is less than 2.9 seconds, and the supercar shoots to 200 km/h within 8.8 seconds. The maximum speed reaches 325 km/h.
