Very imperfect, Lords of the Fallen still attracted a lot of players when it was released in 2014, the action-oriented role play of Deck 13 and CI Games has indeed three million copies sold and will be entitled to a sequel, formalized again in 2014, but absent from radars until 2018, with a development ensured by Hexworks, founded by CI Games for the occasion.
While waiting for the release of Lords of the Fallen 2, CI Games today unveils a logo, to admire above, and the studio promises great things, as announced by CEO Marek Tymiński:
Lords of the Fallen 2 is our biggest project out of all CI Games games. The previous game was a full-price, full-price version, and we’re approaching the next one with an even wider reach. The sequel will take the franchise to dark fantasy and offer a revised and challenging combat system.
Hexworks had already mentioned this change of artistic direction and gameplay, nothing new then. Lords of the Fallen 2 is due out at an as yet unknown date on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Lords of the Fallen: Complete Edition is sold € 19.95 on Amazon.
