This is a landmark operation at L’Oréal. The French beauty giant has announced the acquisition of Aesop, the luxury brand that has been stirring up the cosmetics industry for months.

The French group will pay 2.5 billion dollars to the Brazilian Natura & Co, the owner of the Australian brand and Avon. The two groups know each other: it was Natura & Co which bought The Body Shop in 2017 for a billion dollars, until then owned by L’Oréal.
