Lost Ark full launch: Amazon adds new servers and grants Founder’s Pack bonuses if you move

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Today is the full launch of the Lost Ark and Amazon has taken a few steps that we hope should make things easier and fix the issues with queues and server demand.

Yesterday during launch, Amazon already disabled character creation on servers that had high wait times and said that this limit will be in place in the near future. Anyone who has already created a character on these more crowded servers can still create others, but new players will no longer be able to do so at all.

As the final launch is today, additional servers will be added to meet demand. Across all regions, there are a total of 15 new servers planned and they will continue to monitor demand and work to add more capacity. It’s a measured approach, different from New World, which is preparing for a lot of server mergers. To help some players migrate to less populated servers, Amazon is also addressing concerns regarding Founder’s Packs.

Asking some players to consider migrating to lower population servers (or even to the newer servers), some had already traded in their Founder’s Packs and that was one of the reasons they mightn’t migrate . Amazon has announced that it will grant all Founder’s Pack purchasers who redeem their pack by February 14 at 12:00 PM PST/9:00 AM EST an additional set of exclusive Founder’s Pack items at the level at which they acquitted themselves. This means that all bonuses such as titles, pets, etc. will be available at once on any server where you install. This measure is intended to help people find a new server they can call home on, especially considering that character creation is disabled for new accounts and some need a new server to be able to play with friends who arrive with F2P.
