Lost fame and money… Weigh-in failure Kwon Ah-sol loses decision to Japanese fighter

Kwon Ah-sol (36), the ‘bad kid’, lost his honor, his money, and even lost the game.

On the afternoon of the 18th, Kwon Ah-sol lost by unanimous decision in the 3rd round of the Goobne Road FC 062 Contract Weight -73kg match against Nakamura Koji (37, Japan) held at the Swiss Grand Hotel Convention Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

Kwon A-sol, who was KO’d by Nakamura at Road FC 013 in October 2013, also lost the revenge match.

Kwon Ah-sol, who weighed 78 kg in the weigh-in event the day before and exceeded 5 kg from the contract weight of 73 kg, lost everything by losing the match. Kwon A-sol had agreed to give 50% of his fight money to Nakamura if he failed to weigh in.

Kwon Ah-sol started with a 10-point deduction for all rounds for failing to weigh in. Kwon A-sol, who was carefully searching for the center, aimed for the timing with a left-handed jab and a right-footed kick.

Nakamura, who was suppressed by the momentum, failed to attack properly and eventually received a 5-point deduction for passive game management.

Rounds 2 and 3 followed a similar pattern. Kwon Ah-sol and Nakamura didn’t fight much while going around the cage. Kwon A-sol and Nakamura received warnings for their passive games side by side.

With 2 minutes and 20 seconds left in the game, Kwon A-sol attempted a takedown, but Nakamura held on with his back to the cage.

As if Kwon A-sol had been waiting, he started punching. Kwon A-sol, who punched Nakamura in the face, seemed to take the mood.

However, the takedown was stolen by Nakamura and the gong rang to end the round while allowing a pounding to the face.

In the end, Kwon Ah-sol was unable to overcome the deduction for failing to weigh in the previous day and bowed his head with a unanimous decision by the judges.
