Lost mountaineers located on the Iztaccíhuatl volcano

MEXICO CITY.- The Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM) reported on the location and rescue of six mountaineers lost in the Iztaccíhuatl volcanoin Amecameca.

According to the statement of SSEMthe mountaineers arrived at the place The Little Jewelwhere they were supported by the police and taken in official vehicles to Paso de Cortés, from where they left to return to their homes and reunite with their families.

The SSEM called on athletes and walkers who arrive at the site to take extreme precautions and remain in constant communication during the ascent to prevent any risky situation.

The location of the missing people occurred yesterday, Sunday, May 5.
