Lotte Confectionery signed an MOU with AIB International at its headquarters in Yangpyeong-dong, Seoul on the 20th to improve global quality competitiveness.

AIB International, established in 1919, is an American food hygiene inspection agency that conducts hygiene inspections on manufacturing facility environments, facilities, and personal hygiene for over 3,000 global companies, including McDonald’s and PepsiCo.

Through this agreement, Lotte Confectionery plans to conduct screenings for a total of 150 factories, including domestic production plants, overseas plants, and partner companies.

Lee Chang-yeop, CEO of Lotte Confectionery, said, “We are delighted to have AIB International and Lotte Confectionery, which puts food safety first,” and “We will provide safe food that consumers can eat with peace of mind.”
