For the debut in September, the German entertainer Harald Schmidt appeared in an operetta, on Sunday Brecht’s “Threepenny Opera” premiered with a more than unusual cast. In her carefree manner, Lotte de Beer not only upsets the Volksoper, the entire Viennese opera landscape is currently in a kind of optimistic mood.
