Loud noise in public places to be fined: Saudi Arabia with warning

Riyadh: Warning that strict action will be taken against those who raise their voices in public places in a way that harms others in Saudi Arabia. Saudi announced that they will impose a fine of 100 riyals against such people.

Uttering or acting in a way that offends, threatens or endangers visitors will be considered a breach of public decency. Fines will be imposed on those who engage in activities such as making noises or doing activities that cause trouble or frighten others in public places.

The rules require men and women to dress modestly and avoid using obscene language or gestures. Common decency violations include littering, spitting, taking photos and videos of people without permission, and playing music during prayer times.
