Between the hundreds of exhibitors and the thousands of visitors who flock there, the Agricultural Show allows for numerous meetings. Some are ephemeral, others for life.
At first glance, the setting is not the most intimate. But the festive atmosphere, the cocktails and above all the thousands of people who flock there ultimately make the Agricultural Show an ideal place to meet lovers.
“I know lots of couples who met (here), I really don’t intend to leave empty-handed,” smiles one participant.
“With the breeders who sleep here, we have already heard that with parties yes, one-night stands or meetings… It happens,” adds another. “You saw the number of people, there are men, there are women, there are sheep, there is alchemy! In the evening, we party, obviously we can find love at the Show,” continues an exhibitor.
“Love of my life”
“It is true that the Show brings many regions together and as a result, there is distance, and long-distance relationships are sometimes complicated so it is possible to have fleeting encounters,” explains a young participant.
But he also has beautiful, long stories. Two years ago, Marianne met her boyfriend, also an exhibitor. “It was the day of the Abondance competition, Wednesday at the knowledge day, we met at the end and afterwards we went for a drink to get to know each other,” she remembers.
“We’ve been together for a year and a half, we have the same passion for cows, we each have our own farm… Yes, I met the love of my life at the Salon.”
