“Very quickly, a farmer realized that none of his suitors suited him and he didn’t want to worry about continuing this stay,” he told Puremedia Gabriella Mather, the show’s producer.
“We weren’t bored this year”
The identity of this candidate has not been revealed by the production, which has also had to overcome the abandonment of three other candidates, David, Charles and Baptiste, since the portrait phase broadcast at the start of the year. An unprecedented situation which can be explained by “the character of farmers” according to Gabriella Mather:
“It’s true that this year, we have farmers, and also suitors for that matter, who have a lot of character, who have asserted themselves. They do what they want, so we adapted. We didn’t get bored this year.”
Baptiste, a 30-year-old sheep breeder, left the adventure before the key stage of speed-dating after reconnecting with a former lover. The other two candidates, David and Charles, did not receive letters that met their expectations and retracted their position.
