The editorial Shueisha published the cover and release date of the twenty-fifth compiled book volume of the manga written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka, Kaguya-sama: Love is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen). This volume is scheduled for release on March 18 in Japan, while Maki Shijou stars on the cover.
The site also revealed the cover of the sixth compiled book volume of the spin-off manga written and illustrated by G3 Ida, Kaguya-sama wo Kataritai (We Want to Talk About Kaguya), which is described as follows: «Kaguya-sama wo Kataritai follows the daily antics of two members of the Shuchiin Academy Media Club, Erika Kose and Karen Kino. Erika is an ardent fan of Student Council Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya, while Karen loves the idea of President Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya being a couple. As a result, their delusional minds are filled with terribly wrong ideas about how their seemingly perfect idols really behave.».
On the other hand, Akasaka began publishing the manga in the magazine Miracle Jump from the publisher Shueisha in May 2015, and moved it to the magazine Weekly Young Jump in 2016. The publisher published the twenty-third compiled volume in August 2021, followed by the twenty-fourth in December 2021 in Japan.
In addition to several spin-off manga, the work also inspired a twelve-episode animated adaptation produced by the studios. A-1 Picturesunder the direction of Shinichi Omata and scripts written by Yasuhiro Nakanishipremiered in January 2019. A second season of twelve episodes premiered in April 2020, and a third season is confirmed for April 2022.
