The Tomsk Department of Rospotrebnadzor is concerned about the low rate of flu vaccination in the region; the situation in the regional center is of particular concern.

Let us remind you that the vaccination campaign began in the Tomsk region on September 1, and is planned to be completed in early (mid) November. You can get vaccinated at the clinic at your place of residence. This epidemic season it is planned to vaccinate 552.2 thousand people (61% of the population) against influenza.

According to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor, as of October 12, 146,957 people were vaccinated in the Tomsk region, including 44,599 children.

“As a result, 16.2% of Tomsk residents and residents of the region were vaccinated. Epidemiologists of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Tomsk region note the low rate of vaccination in the region. The pace of immunization in the city of Tomsk is of particular concern,” the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reported.

In four districts of the region, the vaccination plan has been completed by almost 50%. These are Kolpashevsky, Teguldetsky, Kozhevnikovsky and Pervomaisky districts. At the moment, municipalities are awaiting the next delivery of the vaccine. There is no shortage of vaccine expected, health officials say.

It was previously reported that a sharp increase in colds was observed in the Tomsk region throughout September; in early October, experts recorded a slight decline.
