A red-blue majority was also prevented, according to Fazekas in a statement congratulating Johanna Mikl-Leitner. Superlatives at the FPÖ
FPÖ state party leader Alexander Petschnig spoke in superlatives: “This is a sensational, triumphant result. But the victors of the day are the people in Lower Austria.” The “system of felt and corruption” had been voted out.
If this holds and the ÖVP majority in the state government is history, it would be a “paradigm shift and a landslide, a new era for Lower Austria”. One can only congratulate the blue top candidate Udo Landbauer and his team, Petschnig was proud of his party colleagues.
