Brazilian winger Lucas Moura has confirmed his departure from Tottenham, Spurs, the seventh Premier League, at the end of the current season.
And Mora suffered to impose himself due to repeated injuries, as he failed to score in 17 matches that he played this season in various competitions, as his team will allow him to leave when his contract expires next June.
The 30-year-old missed most of the first half of the season due to a tendon injury in his foot.
Since his return to the stadiums, he has suffered inside the green rectangle, where he received a red card against Everton, and caused a mistake that led to the winning goal for Liverpool at the fatal time 4-3, after Tottenham succeeded in overturning a three-goal deficit to impose a 3-3 draw.
Tottenham fans condemn Moura, who scored a hat-trick against Ajax Amsterdam in 2019, which allowed the North London club to reach the Champions League final for the first time in its history.
Moura will get the opportunity to bid farewell to the fans when he hosts Tottenham at Brentford on Saturday in the 37th round.
“Wherever I am, my heart will always be here. You are my team,” Moura said on Tottenham’s official Instagram page.
And he added in a video: “It was a great honor for me to defend this badge. Every touch, every tackle, every jump, every goal.”
And he added, “From the highest heights to the lowest, from beginning to end, you sang my name. That was my dream” and “This will always be my home. Some evenings we will never forget, writing history together. I will always love you no matter where I go. We will meet once again”.
Moura has scored 38 goals in 219 matches for Tottenham since arriving in England from Paris Saint-Germain in 2018.
On the other hand, Tottenham said in a statement, “We would like to thank Lucas for his wonderful efforts for our club and wish him all the best for the future.”
