As a result, Lufthansa added extra flights from Frankfurt am Main to Palma de Mallorca, Faro on the Algarve, Madeira and Larnaka on Cyprus to its range. Bookings on individual tourist routes in Europe are three times as high as before the pandemic, said Hohmeister. The use of a jumbo jet with 350 seats for Mallorca flights is also planned due to the high demand.

TUI also reports developments at the pre-crisis level.
