Lufthansa flies German athletes to the 2022 Winter Olympics

Around 100 athletes, trainers and supervisors started with great excitement and in happy expectation of many successful competitions (Austrian Wings has the feeble-minded Gender form of the Lufthansa press office, which is categorically rejected by an overwhelming majority of the German population, brought back into correct German) to Beijing.

At 5:45 p.m. it was “Welcome on board, ladies and gentlemen”. Flight captain Christian Leyhe and his crew welcomed on board the Boeing 747-8I, D-ABYA, the teams tobogganing doubles with Tobias Arlt, Sascha Benecken, Toni Eggert and Tobias Wendl, figure skating, freeskiing, alpine skiing women, biathlon, snowboard halfpipe and ski jumping around Karl Geiger and Katharina Althaus.

Lufthansa Airlines CEO Klaus Froese said: “It is a tradition that Team Germany flies to the Olympic Games with Lufthansa. For us, this is a very special task that we take on with joy and pride every time.”

Lufthansa Cargo has already flown 100 tons of sports equipment and sports luggage to Beijing in the last few weeks. For many years, the “Freight Crane” has been a reliable partner for transporting sports equipment for the Olympic team. The transport of sports equipment is particularly time-critical and requires great care and experience.
