What is “Revive the fire in me”, your new album, about?

It is a Catholic music album made with the purpose of being a healing and restoration tool for those who are prisoners of the past, anxiety, negative thoughts or if in their life it is necessary to fan the flame of faith and hope, everything through praise to the creator father, gratitude to the son who saves the world and to the Holy Spirit Paraclete.

Where did the inspiration for this album come from?

The album was born in 2020. After the start of the covid-19 pandemic, some realities such as drug addiction, suicides, domestic abuse, anxiety and job losses began to become more evident in society. as well as many other events. Under this premise, I write about fifty songs specifically dedicated to being a means of meeting God, who is the source of full joy for people. However, after a professional selection and production process, eight songs that are part of the album are consolidated.

Which artists are you collaborating with on this album?

More than ten Catholic musicians from Latin America participate in Revive the fire in me, such as Estación Cero, Marcela Gael; Stiven, of Battalion 316; Father Andrés Carrillo, of the Passionists; Sister Camila Carmona, of the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity; Ángelus Guajira, Fello Toro and Ministry of the Lord of Miracles.

What was it like working with a group like Estación Cero?

It was very gratifying to share with Estación Cero, it is one of the best Colombian Catholic music bands, not only because of its musical level, but also because of its life of mission and faith, which have helped me strengthen my vocation as a Catholic musician looking at a dynamic and contemporary horizon.

The album has a self-titled single, what is this song about?

“Revive the fire in me” is inspired by a true life story, it is about a man who since childhood treasured the gift of believing in God, but little by little in his growth, other voices became stronger overshadowing his faith, losing himself in the vices that degraded his life to the point of almost dying. After many turns in life and drinking from many sources of water that did not quench his thirst, he returns to his first love, to beg her to restore his life.

(Besides: Pink Floyd and Andriy Khlyvnyuk release song in support of Ukraine)

What are the sounds we can hear in “Stir up the game in me”?

The album is a fusion of colors and rhythms, using elements that range from rap, vallenato, rock and gospel music, passing through subtle instruments in prayer such as the violin, as well as live instruments in songs with a lot of dynamics to enliven the soul.

What do you seek to convey with your album?

Revive the fire in me is, without a doubt, an expression, I want the listener to feel the peace and joy that God can give in their lives when listening to this album.
