The former Liverpool star and BarcelonaLuis Suarez, has been linked with a transfer from theAtletico Madrid to the Argentine league. Mundo Deportivo report that the player is likely to join Argentine side River Plate.
Almost all of the Argentine media indicates that the transfer of Suarez at River Plate will arrive shortly this week. The Argentinian club are awaiting a definitive answer from the Uruguayan, who is currently recovering from a knee injury while on vacation in Ibiza.
Argentinian club coach Marcelo Gallardo has confirmed that River Plate tried to sign the player.
“There are chances. I think one of the two (him or Miguel Borjeo editor’s note) will definitely arrive, but before that we have to focus on what we have today. If they join us, it will enrich the team and give new hopehe said of the striker’s potential signing, following River Plate’s 2-1 win over the weekend.
For the 35-year-old legend, joining a mythical club such as River would represent a sporting challenge worthy of him! A choice full of bite, no doubt.
