Citizens residing in the El Rosario neighborhood, located in the southern sector of the city of Granada, are demanding that the President of Nicaragua, Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, order the installation of luminaires that allow the place to be illuminated and prevent criminal activities.

Mr. José Iván León Urbina says that the sector where the lights are needed is located in the next corner where the popular character known as the Bunny resides. Citizens are even more concerned because many children circulate in that place, which means a danger for them, walking in the dark with so much crime that there is now. In addition, they also consider it dangerous due to the passing of vehicles that could cause a pedestrian accident that can be the children themselves or the adults residing in the place. They have been dealing with the same problem for five or six months and the DISSUR authorities turn a deaf ear to the popular outcry.

In addition, Mr. Juan Ramón Centeno García, from the same sector close to El Conejo’s residence, also referred to the problem of public lighting, they have filed complaints with DISSUR and have received no response. He asks that President Daniel Ortega and Mrs. Rosario Murillo support them in solving the problem since the city agencies do not pay attention to them.
