Luxury real estate in Brazil is one of those responsible for the market increase and the segment is mainly responsible for the positive result of the civil construction industry, which has been growing in recent years, driven mainly by the pandemic period. According to the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Developers, 2022 had a positive balance. Throughout the year, the highest volume of the historical series of the ABRAINC-Fipe indicator, started in 2014, was registered. The segment registered a growth of 67.8% in relation to the previous year, in relation to the units sold. The study was carried out by the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Developers in partnership with the Economic Research Institute Foundation (FIPE).
Allied to this growth, an overview of the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies (ABESE) also registered, in 2022, an increase in the adhesion of security items, mainly with regard to the renewal and updating of more technological solutions.
Faced with this promising scenario, the Santa Catarina company FG Empreendimentos, headquartered in Balneário Camboriú, developed a solution for the fire doors present in luxury and high standard residential buildings. “The development of products and enterprises with added value and competitive differentials supported by sustainability, safety, technology and design are global trends that have been strengthening the Brazilian scenario”, comments the director of engineering at FG Empreendimentos, André Bigarella. “For this segmented market, it is necessary that the items meet the requirements of a smooth finish and with hidden fixings, for example”, explains Bigarella.
According to engineer Camila Gosenheimer, the professional who coordinated the project, the solution was developed in stages. “First, tests were carried out, then a prototype was installed in one of the construction company’s works to carry out all the necessary validations and certifications”, she points out.
Entrepreneur Jean Graciola comments that the entire team was involved, along with market demands, with the aim of enhancing the production chain. “Civil construction and technology go hand in hand and, therefore, we have a department dedicated to the development of solutions focused on the luxury market”, he explains. Focusing also on security and technology, the entrepreneur points out that it is also possible to connect the fire door solution with sensors connected to the alarm system, causing it to close automatically in the event of a fire.
