LVBP: Águilas del Zulia fire Marco Davalillo | baseball 123

The Eagles of Zulia officially announced the dismissal of manager Marco Davalillo, after the streak of four consecutive losses that the zuliano team lives. The Eagles made the news official on their social networks, after the defeat that the eaglet team suffered yesterday, Sunday, December 11, against the Cardenales de Lara in Maracaibo.

Davalillo returned to assume the reins of the team after 14 games of the 2021/22 season, with the team with a 4-10 record, and although he straightened out the team’s course a bit (16-19), he failed to qualify for the postseason, falling five games out of fifth place.

This season, the Águilas del Zulia have a record of 18 wins and 26 losses, and they are the worst collective offense in the league, so they have not been able to find their way despite being the best pitching in the entire LVBP.

The rapacious team also announced that Orlando Muñoz, a manager with experience in American organizations (he led the Phillies in the Dominican Summer League), will be the team’s manager for the remainder of the season.
