The Sharks of La Guaira continue their good path towards the postseason and this Monday they beat the Caribes de Anzoátegui 11 runs to 3 to leave them in a difficult situation in their aspirations for qualification.

The sharks began their offensive production early and in the first inning with Carlos Castro’s single they pounced ahead against the shipments of the right-hander Jesús Reyes, who received three runs plus the third inning, all three unearned, due to an error in a shot by shortstop Kevin Vicuña with the that the inning ends without annotations.
La Guaira’s offense did not stop producing and in the last third of the match they sealed the commitment with three runs in the eighth and also in the ninth to ensure the victory. Caribes tried to wake up in the ninth, but it was too late. The victory was for Christian Mejías (1-0), the defeat for Jesús Reyes (0-3).
