Lynn Fainchtein: Musical Supervision Mastermind and Film Industry Icon

Lynn Fainchtein, musical supervisor of films such as “Amores Perros”, “ROMA” and “Bardo”, has died.

Friends of the creative, such as producer Tita Lombardo and costume designer Mariestela Fernández, posted a farewell message on their social networks tonight.

“Dearest Lynn, good way!
Admired and loved by many of us who had the opportunity to have you close,” Lombardo wrote.

“I love you always,” Fernández wrote.

On her official website, Lynn talked about the importance of music in cinema.

“Music is our passion and our job. Our job is to propose and produce music that complements the narrative and emotion of a story,” she reads.

Of Russian-Jewish descent, she was an announcer for the Rock 101 station before receiving the invitation from Alejandro Gonzáles Iñárritu to work together in film.

She was head of programming and news producer at MTV LATAM until 2000.

As a music supervisor and producer, she worked on numerous films and shows for Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Apple, Fox and Star+.

He was currently in charge of musical supervision for the series “One Hundred Years of Solitude”, now in production, while also having “Las Azules” with Bárbara Mori on the calendar.

“Luis Miguel, the series”; “President”; “Selena” and “Elite” were productions that had Lynn’s collaboration, as well as the films “Lost in the Night,” “Birdman” and “Hell,” among others.
